Synopsis
Two galactic space-kids face off against a massive candy commit on a collision course with earth. Delicious consequences abound.
This is one of my all time favorites. I was handed an edit with the two kids on green screen and had to create the rest from there. I had three days to get the job done so I kept it all in After Effects. The result was very satisfying. I've also included the effects breakdown which demonstrates roughly how I broke the shots up.
The main insperation for this peice was the most recent Star Trek film, so naturally I worked on filling the frame with as many lens flares as possible.
The space ship interior was created entirely with solids in After Effects, and I was really surprised at how well such a crude model ended up working.
